Mandatory briefing before hazardous shots: sequence, positions, escape routes, abort word. If you weren't there, you're not cleared to work.
The Safety Meeting takes place before every stunt, every effect involving fire or pyrotechnics, every driving sequence, and every work at height. It is called by the 1st AD, led by the responsible department, and everyone present must attend.
What is discussed
- What happens — the sequence step by step.
- Who is where, and which area is cordoned off.
- Evacuation route and assembly point.
- Cut word — a clear word that anyone can shout to stop everything.
- First aid — who, where, and where the nearest hospital is.
The rule behind it
Anyone not present at the meeting does not participate in the shot. This also applies to people who arrive late — they are informed individually or remain outside. The meeting is documented, including a participant list.
