Talent in everyday production simply means: everyone who stands in front of the camera. The term originates from the Anglo-Saxon agency system and has become established internationally in scheduling and contracts.

Usage
The term is practical because it encompasses principal cast, supporting roles, doubles, and extras without implying a hierarchy. However, in direct conversation with performers in German-speaking regions, it is rarely used – they are referred to as actress, actor, or simply by their name. As a collective term in documents, it is common, but not as a form of address.
