The makeup trailer is not a lounge, but a workspace: several chairs in front of illuminated mirrors, sinks, shelves, power for equipment, and enough space to move around the chair.
What Matters
- The light. It must be neutral and sufficiently bright — makeup done under warm light will look different on set under daylight.
- Water — hot and cold, with drainage.
- Temperature. Prosthetics and adhesives are sensitive; a trailer that is too warm will reduce durability.
- Quiet. Time in the makeup chair is preparation time for many actors.
Capacity
The number of seats determines how early the talent call must be. Two seats and twelve actors mean a call in the middle of the night — this is a matter of calculation, not comfort.
