The Thypoch Simera-C is a series of compact cine primes with a consistent T1.5 aperture. Thypoch is based in China and belongs to DZOFILM — the brand first appeared in 2023 with the Simera photo lenses for Leica M, with the cine variant added later. The origin explains a lot: the design is based on classic rangefinder designs, and the cine mechanics come from the parent company.
The Series
Five focal lengths in the kit: 21, 28, 35, 50, and 75mm, with a 16mm also available. They are offered with Sony E-mount and Leica M-mount. Consistent T1.5 means no aperture jump when changing lenses and no exposure correction mid-scene.
