British optics manufacturer since 1886 — known for the warm "Cooke Look" with soft skin tones and organic character.
Cooke Optics from Leicester (England) has been shaping the look of cinema for over 130 years. The "Cooke Look" — warm skin tones, soft focus transitions, subtle vignetting — is legendary among DoPs. The Speed Panchro primes from the 1940s are still in use today.
